Energy Assistance – Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

  • LIHEAP consists of two programs:
  • Energy Assistance is a one-time-a-year program that makes one payment to utility companies on behalf of the participant to help offset the high cost of winter bills. This program runs from October 1st (elderly & disabled only) November 1st (everyone) – March 31st the application process can be completed by mailECIP is an emergency assistance program to help with energy utility shut off notices. Applicants for this program must have their heating/cooling service threatened for disconnection or be currently living with no such service.
